Another beautiful site is the San Francisco City Hall, a stunning exponent of the Beaux-Arts style by famed architect Arthur Brown Jr.

Of course, no visit to San Francisco is complete without checking out the Transamerica Pyramid, designed by William L. Pereira & Associates. Its pointy, elegant design has made it a true icon since 1972. Finally, make it a point to visit the Xanadu Gallery in San Francisco. The gallery is inside a building Frank Lloyd Wright designed before he started the Guggenheim Museum, and it is known for its stunning spiral ramp and beautiful arched brickwork.
