After a recent renovation, the Hilton La Romana updated the rooms, added new restaurants, and completed a pool makeover.
Enter your tropical sanctuary through an open-air lobby. Flanked by a coffee bar on one side and a cocktail bar on the other, it’s a relaxing space with rattan seating.
Or head to the private reception area for premium guests. A butler will assist you to your room, a plus since the buildings lack elevators.

Based on my experience, I recommend a premium pool view room overlooking the outdoor pool. Each room offers 411 square feet with contemporary touches along with pops of tropical color.
After entering your room from an open-air corridor, stow your luggage in the reach-in closet space, including an in-room safe. Next to the closet, the beverage center offers complimentary in-room coffee, tea, sodas, bottled water, juice, and local beer.
Luxury awaits in the bathroom, with marble floors throughout the room. Then find a separate water closet and double sink vanity. You’ll find a hairdryer and vanity mirror. The premium rooms at the Hilton La Romana feature Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena and Lavender toiletries.
With an extra-large space, enjoy a couple’s shower. Find a rain shower head and a hand-held shower so each person gets their own hot water.
Dressed with white linens and a tropical-colored coverlet, sleep late in the king-sized bed. You’ll find USB plugs and reading lights located within reach.
The full-size dressing mirror offers a dramatic touch to the room. And take your morning coffee at the small table outfitted with a pair of chairs.

Noor—You’ll find a sit-down breakfast and lunch for premium-level guests at Noor. Find Mediterranean classics in the secluded outdoor dining room. Open for dinner only for all guests.
Mare Grill and Restaurant—Enjoy a seafood menu at Mare Grill and Restaurant, an oceanfront restaurant. Open for dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Chinola—Savor the culinary delights of Dominica when you dine in Chinola. Open for dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Aroma—Enjoy barista-made coffee concoctions 24 hours a day at Aroma in the open-air lobby. Also, find cookies, baked goods, and desserts.
