Elaine Warner
In pursuit of stories, Elaine Warner has flown in hot air balloons, helicopters, seaplanes, even a glider, and ziplined across an arm of Palo Duro Canyon. She has climbed down into a chasm at night to see dismalites – the glowing larvae of fungus gnats – but draws the line at bungee jumping and hang-gliding. A life-long Weight Watcher, she has, nonetheless, eaten her way through many destinations. In addition to articles for a number of publications, she has written two books, Insiders’ Guide to Tulsa and More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Missouri Women. A resident of Edmond, Oklahoma, Elaine is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
