Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive is small with 87 rooms and suites. My room was small, but nicely decorated with muted colors of pale ocean blue and gray against a stark white. Simply elegant. I loved that it looked out on Rodeo Drive. It was great fun people watching from that vantage point. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the sheets and blankets were lusciously soft. The room had a hush to it that made me feel as if I entered my own sanctuary each time I stepped inside.
I enjoyed a welcome drink in the bar and had a nice breakfast in Café Rodeo, the hotel’s first floor restaurant. The waiter had a quirky sense of humor and regaled us with stories as we ate.
I loved that the wi-fi was complimentary and the maids came twice daily to clean the room and refresh my towels — and they actually waited until after 7 p.m. for turn-down service. I have a pet peeve with hotels who do turn-down service at 5 or 6 in the afternoon, just at the time when you’re getting ready to go out for the evening.
The staff at Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive was friendly and offered information about the area and was willing to help make local arrangements. The hotel has a bit of a European flair about it that gives it a unique edge in Southern California. It is definitely well suited for Beverly Hills.
