I Love Arizona’s Farm & Craft Restaurant and You Will Too

I love Farm & Craft! There couldn’t be a better social media handle for local neighborhood favorite Farm & Craft. This bright, friendly, and delicious restaurant really treats you like one of the family. The menu focuses on healthy, sustainable, and modern dishes with four paths to choose from:

  • Anti-Inflammatory
  • Increased Probiotic Levels
  • High Anti-Oxidant Levels
  • Overall Stress Reduction

These goals are achieved with a menu that is filled with organic, hormone-free, gluten-free, and even vegetarian options. I recently got to check out the original Farm & Craft location and a few short weeks later I stopped by the newest Phoenix location!

Farm & Craft in Old Town Scottsdale

Located near East Fifth Avenue and Scottsdale Road, this Farm & Craft is the original. Brightly lit by large floor to ceiling windows that can be flung open to the patio, the restaurant is incredibly welcoming. During breakfast and lunch, the fast-casual style allows you to place your order and grab a seat. This is perfect if you are just grabbing lunch before heading back to the office. Dinner, however, is a full dining experience.

I loved that the menu was filled with plenty of unique options from breakfast to dinner. Each menu item has a symbol next to it making it easier to make choices based on dietary needs or by one of the four paths listed above.

Farm & Craft serves only gluten-free pasta! I will be honest…  I am not gluten-free. I will however say, that their chickpea pasta noodles are delicious! When asked why they serve only gluten-free pasta I was informed that it was to limit the chances of cross-contamination.

The Healthy Menu

While I was there I tried a few menu items from several spots on the menu.  As an equal food opportunist, I ordered several drastically different options. First up I ordered a Vegan Ceviche with golden beets, radish, cherry tomato, avocado, lime, and tomato chili sauce served with flax tortilla chips. This is a perfect dish to share or just enjoy as an entrée if you want. When I brought home the rest, my kids loved it! With lots of bright, fresh vegetables and just the right amount of heat, this ceviche is perfect without any seafood!

Next, was a delicious breakfast… Crustless Quiche. Made with cage-free eggs, cheddar, all-natural chicken sausage, braised kale, and chili flake, this quiche was super tasty. It was fluffy and flavorful and I was delighted that it was also served up with a side of salad. Gluten-free, anti-inflammatory, and stress-relieving, this quiche is perfect for kick-starting a busy day!

Finally, I tried the BBQ Chicken Flatbread. I was not disappointed! This flatbread is house-made flax and whole wheat dough that is topped with unique flavors. There is also a gluten-free crust available for these as well. The BBQ Chicken was fantastic! I was intrigued by the house-made pineapple jalapeño barbecue sauce, grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, parmesan, black beans, fresh cilantro, and lime crema. I adored this dish so much!

And don’t forget the kiddos! We have found that Farm and Craft offers even the smallest patron a healthy, delicious menu. I had my youngest child with me and he truly enjoyed his cheese pizza.

Farm & Craft at the Phoenix Location – New look, same great food

Recently the newest location of Farm and Craft opened in Uptown Phoenix. I was so excited to see this location just as it was being opened. Living in Phoenix means that it takes me a long time to get to the Scottsdale location. I attended a media preview of the new location and I have to say that I am still thrilled that they are now in the neighborhood!

The new Farm & Craft is on Seventh Street just north of Camelback in the busy Uptown neighborhood. I was delighted with how comfortable and welcoming this location was as well. Once we sat down I decided that I would try one of the cocktails. I went with Kombucha and Rum. J. Wray Rum, coconut water, pineapple, agave, lime, and kombucha sounded pretty good. It was delicious and absolutely pretty to look at too.

We were served bites from their dinner menu and hands down top two favorites were the grilled salmon which was served with a smoked tomato vinaigrette, green pea puree, with spiral zucchini, and the lasagna bolognese served with all-natural chicken sausage bolognese, mushroom ricotta, green lentil lasagna, and burrata cheese.

I also tried the charred broccoli side. The broccoli was delicious, the red pepper and walnut romesco and turmeric gluten-free breadcrumbs created a really interesting flavor combination with the broccoli.

Look at that quiche Kamilla! Brilliant. One neat aspect of circling the globe; in SO many countries, most few is organic. CHEAP food is organic LOL. But cool to see more spots in the USA are offering the best, organic, down home foods not infected with GMO’s. Thanks for sharing 🙂
