Robyn Roehm Cannon is a career journalist who has been writing across a broad cross-section of lifestyle topics for more than thirty years, focusing on the small details in life that bring us the most pleasure: a beautifully designed room, building or garden and the creative force behind it; a perfectly-made bed and the style of thoughtful hospitality that makes all the difference in a memorable travel experience; a deliciously crafted meal or glass of wine and the culinary journey of the chef or the vintner who presents it. For Robyn, feature writing is about the discovery and she relishes sharing conversations with inventive people who make our world a more colorful place in the stories she tells. Robyn writes about European, North American and tropical travel itineraries that are designed for sharing with a human companion…and sometimes, with a canine one in tow. (Her breed is Tibetan Terrier.) A native of western Washington but a part-time resident of the eastern side of her state, she writes from two unique locations: one overlooking Seattle’s Elliott Bay and the cruise ship terminals and the other on a forested canyon of 14,000 acres above the Spokane River and the state’s largest park.
