I recently had a preview recently of this feast at Andaz Scotsdale Resort & Spa and I recommend it. The flavors from Chef Adam Sheff at Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen are innovative. You will have your traditional Thanksgiving—but so much better.
On Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017, from 11 am to 3 pm, you can savor the mesquite hot smoked turkey, brown butter roasted sweet potato casserole and so much more. I didn't taste anything that wasn't a wow moment for me. The feast is $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Children 7 to 12 are $35 and those 6 and under are complimentary.
Out and About
Throughout the restaurant, you'll be able to savor any and all of these treats:
Chilled Poached Shrimp
Avocado dip & cocktail sauce
roasted tomato vinaigrette, roasted baby yams, candied pecans, Maytag blue cheese
Cheese and Charcuterie
Grilled Acorn Squash
Cotija Cheese, Sherry Vinaigrette, Arugula Cranberries
Citrus Dressed Beets
Spinach, Crow's Dairy Goat Cheese, Pine Nuts
Leeks, Creamy Yogurt Dressing
Balsamic-Parmesan Dressing, EVOO Croutons, Shaved Red Onion
For your main course, you can choose one of these options. I suggest everyone get something different so you can share. I was able to sample the turnkey, scallops and risotto, and I loved all three. I wouldn't know which one to choose!
Slow Roasted Beef Ribeye
Au jus, Horseradish Sauce
Mesquite Hot Smoked Turkey
Honey-Chipotle Glaze, Charred Corn Relish
AZ Apple and Celery Root Puree, Citrus Salad, Spiced Pecans
Sonoran Wheat Berry Risotto
For The Table
While you're enjoying the main course, the table can share these amazing side dishes. Honestly, I was blown away by the cilantro meringue on the sweet potato casserole. It gives marshmallow a whole new meaning!
Blue Cornbread Stuffing
Chorizo, Roasted Peppers, Grilled Nopales
Sweet and Smokey Chile Adobo Sauce
Brown Butter Roasted Sweet Potato Casserole
Cilantro Meringue, Smoked Salt
Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes
There are plenty of sweets that will be set up around the restaurant, so be sure to save room for dessert. I recommend the Cult Coffee Cheesecake and Chai Verrine.
