Fro-mosas and Blueberry Buzzes are only the beginning of what’s in store when Mowry & Cotton’s brand-new brunch service debuts this month.
Starting Saturday, Nov. 11, the laidback locals’ spot inside The Phoenician, which opened to considerable fanfare last month, will offer a full-scale brunch menu from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, giving guests a morning or midday dose of Chef de Cuisine Tandy Peterson’s inventive, regionally inspired American dishes.
Think baked innovations like the Mowry Monkey Bread, made with brown butter pecans, blueberry fig jam and white chocolate crème fraiche, or Mowry’s signature plates such as the House-Made Hog Breakfast Board, served up alongside seasonal accompaniments and crumpets. Can’t decide? Grab some adventurous friends and pull up a chair for Mowry & Cotton’s first-of-its-kind Porch Party ($36 per person), a community dining experience where guests can sample Chef Tandy’s 10 ingredient-driven fan favorite dishes and house specialties. From Carne Asada Breakfast Tacos and Roasted Squash to a Peanut Butter Bar and Doughnuts, it’s an ultra-indulgent culinary offering served up in a comfortable, relaxed setting completely devoid of any formality.
And because brunching and cocktailing are often synonymous, Mowry & Cotton has a solid lineup of drinks in store for brunch-time diners. From Fro-mosas, the eatery’s take on a frozen sorbet mimosa, to the Blueberry Buzz, a pretty, Instagrammable concoction that comes equipped with bacon, a mini waffle and a blueberry garnish, Mowry & Cotton is changing the day’s early libations game. Even the beloved Bloody Mary is getting a facelift in the form of a brisket garnish.
