Many consider art the lifeblood of Montreal, named a UNESCO City of Design for its commitment to captivating style. No Montreal retreat better embodies that passion than the Renaissance Montreal, which recently opened its doors as the city’s most anticipated new hotel.
Nestled in the heart of downtown, the 142-room hotel marries art deco architecture and chic interior styling with best-in-class service. Guests revel in eclectic features, including street art by local artist Alexandre Veilleux, live DJ entertainment, and inventive cocktail creations by master mixologist Lawrence Piccard at East, the hotel’s contemporary Pan-Asian restaurant. Come April, its 12th floor rooftop terrace (the only one of its kind in downtown Montreal) will be the place to soak in panoramic views, featuring a full bar, bistro kitchen and stainless steel plunge pool.
“Renaissance Montreal is ripe for discovery,” said Ian Marceau, general manager of Renaissance Montreal. He continued, “Every corner of this gorgeous hotel evokes the vibrancy of our great city. We believe it represents the future of hospitality and are thrilled to bring a hotel of this caliber and creativity to Montreal.”
Transformed for Renaissance by Groupe Daca and managed by Urgo Hotels Canada, the 142-room Renaissance Montreal is a show-stopper. Its lobby defines modernity, with unexpected surprises like street art by a local artist, live DJ entertainment, and tempting cocktail creations by master mixologist Lawrence Piccard.
Taste buds are also wowed at East, where contemporary Pan-Asian cuisine features exotic flavors and beautiful plate presentation. In season, the 12th floor will be a place to see and be seen, featuring downtown Montreal’s only rooftop terrace. It offers panoramic views, a full bar, bistro kitchen and stainless steel plunge pool. The rooftop will be open for special occasions leading into spring.
