Now open in both Tempe and Scottsdale, MAD Greens is tempting Valley eaters with not one but two delicious Arizona-inspired salads made-to-order with locally raised ingredients. Offered exclusively here in Arizona as part of the permanent menu, the Doc Holliday salad boasts baby greens, grilled citrus chicken, MAD Spice pumpkin seeds, oranges, red onions and red grapes with Miso Sesame Vinaigrette. Meanwhile, The F.L.W. (Frank Lloyd Wright) seasonal salad brimming with baby greens, MAD Spice pecans, radishes, figs, cotija cheese and slow-roasted chicken with Tabasco-Prickly Pear Vinaigrette, will be available all summer long.

Aside from showcasing the spicy, sun-drenched flavors of Arizona, MAD Greens' new salads also demonstrate this Colorado-based restaurant's commitment to serving as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. “We're proud to partner with local farmers and purveyors in Arizona such as Abby Lee Farms, Bella Fresh, Duncan Family Farms, Hickman Farms and Shamrock Dairy,” says MAD Greens Co-Founder and Chief Culinary Officer, Dan Long. “One of my favorite things about my job is meeting the farmers and walking the fields, speaking with them about their growing philosophy. The care that these hard-working farmers like Arnott Duncan put into their produce is one of the reasons we created our Arizona-inspired salads featuring distinctly Southwestern ingredients such as citrus, prickly pear, cotija cheese, pumpkin seeds and pecans.”

In fact, southern Arizona is home to the annual Sahuarita Pecan Festival, while local Native American tribes have been cooking with squash/pumpkin seeds for millennia.

Specializing in premium made-to-order salads, fresh juices, paninis, wraps and soups, MAD Greens has 15 locations and has earned a cult-like following due to its fresh food and mission to help guests, “eat better.” MAD Greens opened its first non-Colorado locations in both Scottsdale and Tempe on June 25, 2015, hosting “Free Salad Day” for nearly 2,500 guests and raising $2,260 for the local chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs. AtMAD Greens, they make all of their salads and dressings from scratch and guests can personally choose all of the ingredients that go into their meal so that their salad is a custom culinary creation. Currently the Arizona locations of MAD Greens are at Tempe Marketplace (2000 E. Rio Salado Pkwy. #1215) and at Scottsdale & Acoma (14418 N. Scottsdale Rd. #185). In September of this year two new MAD Greens locations are set to open at the Hilton Village and 7th Avenue & McDowell.
