Taiwan-based EVA Air first introduced their Hello Kitty planes in 2005 and 2006 in a joint effort with Sanrio. EVA Air has five versions of Hello Kitty planes flying from Taiwan to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Guam. LAX is the first long-range jet to have the famous Sanrio clients.
The Hello Kitty experience goes beyond paintings on the plane's exterior. Customers get hello Kitty boarding passes and baggage stickers. The on-board crew wears pink aprons and the plane has Hello Kitty accents throughout, including Hello Kitty headrest covers, pillows, tissues, hand-cream, soap, napkins, paper cups, utensils and even snacks and meals.
The Hello Kitty jet is used on flight BR15 from LAX to TPE on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and on BR-16 from TPE to LAX on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. http://evakitty.evaair.com
