Arizona in the spring is filled with sunshine, fabulous weather and that all American game: baseball! Scottsdale is very lucky to be the place that the San Francisco Giants come for spring training. If you have never been to a spring training game I really recommend you head out to catch one.
When you go make sure that you get tickets to catch the game from the Scottsdale Charros Lodge! The Charros Lodge, which is nestled in right field, has a large shady patio with seating. Plus, they serve complimentary food and drink during the games. Food is hosted by local restaurants from around the valley such as The Vig, Ruth’s Chris, and many others.
The best part of hanging out in the lodge, besides the great view of the game, the hosted food and drinks, is that part of the cost of the ticket goes back to our local community! The Scottsdale Charros are a volunteer group of business and civic leaders that work to raise support for the Scottsdale Unified School District. The Scottsdale Charros, which has worked to promote Spring Training in Scottsdale for more than 50 years, have leveraged spring training baseball as a chief economic driver in Scottsdale. In fact, last year, the Scottsdale Charros awarded more than $750,000 to local charities, schools and in college scholarships and fellowships.
