When I travel, I love a great bag. Okay, I love a great bag any time, but it becomes even more important when traveling. I want something useful, but fun and sophisticated. My wonderful find this week is Kolobags. Tthis Los Angeles-based company offers a diversity of on-the-go options, particularly in laptop cases.

One of my favorite lines is the Knomo laptop bags. Knomo is a British label and it’s all about meshing usability with fine details. The laptop cases are classy and sophisticated. Each bag comes with an “if lost” tag on the inside that includes a unique identifier and an international phone number. You register your contact information, and if you lose your bag, the person who finds it can call the number to locate you and get your laptop safely home.

For this month’s contest on Wander With Wonder, Kolobags has kindly donated one of its Knomo laptop bags for me to give away to one lucky reader. The Knomo 17″ laptop sleeve is gorgeous and a great example of why I love this line. This is not a neoprene sleeve. It’s a bayswater-design embossed on faux napa leather, giving it a classic French feel. Your laptop (15.4″ – 17″) slips into the faux fur-lined sleeve that is designed to keep your computer safe and free of scratches. There is a small slip pocket and zip pocket on the front, ideal for a cell phone. The sleeve is small enough to fit inside another bag, or fashionable enough to use as a clutch. The laptop sleeve (pictured) is 16.7″ x 12.5″ x 1″ and fits most PC’s and Mac’s with 17″ screens. The retail price is $69.95. To enter this month’s contest for a chance to win your own Knomo 17″ laptop sleeve, finish reading the article, then answer the question below to describe your favorite bag, or what would be your ideal bag. Complete contest information is here. Contest ends at 11:59 p.m., PST, April 30, 2011.

There’s also a beautiful iPhone case, cable bag, roll-on, and more to match the laptop sleeve. Visit the full line of Knomo laptop bags. Until June 30, 2011, readers of WanderWithWonder.com will receive a 10% discount on everything you order from Kolobags by using the code WONDER at check out.

Other great products from Kolobags

Kolobags has several other great products that I find fun yet practical. The Pan Am orion travel bag is definitely one of those offerings. Back when Pan Am began flying in 1958, this was the bag the airline gave to First Class passengers traveling to Europe. The bag is available in blue or white for $89. It is a great carry-on day pack for both men and women.

Britto

I think my favorite thing from Kolobags is the britto collecton by heys. The colorful designs by artist Romero Britto deck out this collection of spinner pieces, laptop sleeves, and laptop cases. These pieces are hard-sided, yet light weight, made of a polycarbonate composite. There are great dividers inside, and they come in 22″ and 26″ sizes. There are four colorful designs: a new day, butterfly, landscape, and landscape and flowers. Prices are between $250 – $300.

All WanderWithWonder.com readers get a 10% discount on all items from Kolobags until June 30, 2011 by using the term WANDER at checkout. You can also Like Kolobags on Facebook for updates on fashion trends, special offers, and product updates.

I have to start the comments by saying that I MUST have the 26″ Britto bag shown above. I just can’t decide on the design. I’m not a butterfly person, so I think I’ll go for the landscapes. I don’t think I’ll miss this one coming down the conveyor in the airport.

I wish I had my ideal bag because it would make my every day life that much easier. I’d love one that can hold a ton but doesn’t weigh a ton and looks fabulous. Hands free would be nice too because it helps when out and about.

You’ve given me a servere case of the “wants”. Those Britto bags are fabulous. The object of my current desires, however, are handpainted Anuska leather handbags. Oh My!!
Since I have a netbook rather than a laptop, I don’t know if your prize would work for me :-(

I knew those Britto bags would be a big hit with my fellow travelers. I, too, Vera have a massive case of the “wants” – and I am determined to bring one of those lovely things into my life very soon. You can never have too many pieces of luggage or good bags, yes?
