RockBoom Keychain Speaker Ball
I love this little portable speaker on a keychain. For $29.99, the RockBoom keychain speaker from ChicBuds is ideal for traveling. I simply connect my iPhone (or iPod or any other MP3 player) and I can listen to it in a rental car, my hotel room, or beach side.
The little ball is small enough to fit in my palm, packs easily in my purse or carry-on, but it really has great sound for such a little portable speaker. It has a 2 watt amplified speaker that plays for up to 4 hours on a single charge. You simply use the USB plug to recharge the built-in lithium-ion battery.
The speaker connects to any device using a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. To get your RockBoom keychain, visit http://www.chicbuds.com.
Pashmina and Silk Scarf
I never travel without a scarf. Not a little neck scarf. I like a large scarf that I can use to jazz up an outfit at night, cover my shoulders if I get chilly, or cover my head if necessary. My favorite scarves are made of Pashmina wool. This tight woven, ultra soft wool is light weight but warm and fairly water repellent.
Pashmina Ladies offers some gorgeous scarves made of 70% Pashmina wool and 30% silk. Mine is a gorgeous hot pink with light pink woven into it. It is 27″ x 68″ with 3″ tassels on both ends.
Having a journal with me as I travel is a must. “Write-It-Down!” Journals by Journals Unlimited, Inc. are really unique.
They are themed journals — travel, wine, camping, vacation, cruise, adventures, road trip, My Bucket List, and geocaching journals are just a few of more than 60 titles — with prompts to help you write down information you’ll want to remember later. For example, in the camping journal, there are entries for whether it was a private camp or state park, which site you stayed at, which is the ideal site for a possible return stay, the people you met, places you visited while you were there, the most memorable event, contact information, and places to remember for the next time you visit.
There are two different size journals: a 3″ x 5″ mini size and a 7.5″ x 9″ full size. The mini size is $5.95. I prefer the full size because it has more room for me to write. It has 100 pages and sells for $18.95. The journals have a great spiral binding so I can write on the pages without worrying about breaking the binding or ripping pages. The cover is hard so it won’t get easily crumpled in my travel bag. The journals are made of acid-free recycled paper using soy-based ink. They come in the original Natural Kraft Brown (shown in the photo) and a new colors collection. They also have a line of journals you can personalize.
You can see the full line of journals and order them online or find out where to buy them by visiting http://www.journalsunlimited.com.
